South Manchester sunny morning
Meeting our compadres out and about might be difficult if we had nowhere to sit down. Getting this done with minimal resources, physical or fiscal, is quite a challenge but it’s not THE challenge. The actual long term mission is some form of revolution yet to be shaped and in the best traditions of back street coffee house plotting we grabbed some zinging brews at a popular high street establishment, yet to feel the heat of pulling out of Twitter and Facebook.
We need to have a think about how we collect the data for our graph. The graph we use to plot the steady build of momentum CounterCoin is enjoying. Most of the world know that it isn’t a long necked zoo animal, so can readily recognise manipulation of data to present a picture of our numbers. Some days the numbers are the story – like right now – but most days our story is the story.
Getting together to work out how to improve our data collection, sat in amongst several 70-looking 50-somethings shuffling around not too bothered if the noon deadline for the breakfast service is coming fast, we agree that sooner or sooner than that, we’ll need to upgrade our weekly data harvest.
Rashid gives it some thought and suggests this seven (or four) step plan;
1st. Collect data – anyway possible, collect it and do something with it.
2nd. Make the possible become practical, start testing and identifying needed and most useful data to collect
3rd. Increase the utility and reliability, do the groundwork for testing and specification
4th. Initiate development loop with 4.1) Specify via rapid prototype / minimum viable product
5th. 4.2) Test by use
6th. 4.3) Evaluate, collect feedback
7th. 4.4) Redesign and back to 4.1)
Looks like Survey Monkey is the next step, before the first step!
But in the meantime – we wrestle with some interesting ponderables. Which are the preferables,
Community Image v Corporate Image?
Do we need to claim the countercoin.app domain name?
Is there a hybrid Issuer/Earner category?
Or such a thing as a Self Issuer?
And would a TV company be a good thing for our cause if they said they’d show one thing and then broadcast another?
